MONROE, Conn. - The family of a Connecticut native who was killed in combat in Iraq last week has scheduled his funeral for Thursday in Monroe. Army First Lieutenant Thomas Brown died Sept. 23 after his patrol came under small-arms fire about 60 miles north of Baghdad. Brown grew up in Shelton, Conn., and had been living in Burke, Va. The funeral is scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Church (AP)."
