Tamils Trickling Out of Concentration Camps

Only a brief, of course; I suppose I should be happy they picked it up at all.

"Held Tamil Tigers will be released

MANIK FARM - Sri Lanka will release next month the remaining 136,000 Tamil refugees still in squalid, overrun government camps where they have been detained since the civil war ended in May. Some 300,000 war refugees were forced into the camps in the decades-long war with Tamil Tiger rebels. Nearly 136,000 are detained, held by soldiers and barbed wire.

What else would you call that?

All "terrorists," huh?

That's a little much to believe in any circumstance.

--more--"

See my
Sri Lanka for more on the horrific conditions of those camps.
