Slow Saturday Special: Sadness and Seedings

I should know better than to be sad and feel that feeling in the middle of my chest when it comes to the newspaper now; however, the last few days have been really bad.

My front-page. full-photo, full-featured lead today?

What else?

Woods reveals a new Tiger, penitent and promising to change

Tiger Woods’s apology resonates with fans

How appropriate that NEWS SECTION ARTICLES(?) are being located in the SPORTS on the web, huh?

Winning back sponsors may be a tough sell for Tiger Woods

That led the business section.

"NASCAR coverage was also expanded on the cable channel New England Sports Network, which is owned by New England Sports Ventures, the parent company of the Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group. The New York Times Co., which owns The Boston Globe, holds a 17 percent stake in New England Sports Ventures."

Or maybe not.

Ever notice global warming
sometimes DOES NOT MATTER?

Two photos that were not newsworthy for web version:

SAYING FAREWELL -- A line of visitors formed outside the Miles Funeral Home in Holden yesterday as hundreds of friends came to pay their respects to the family of Britney Gengel. The 19-year-old Gengel (right), from Rutland, died when the hotel she was staying in collapsed during the earthquake in Haiti on Jan. 12. Gengel was among six Lynn University members who were killed in the earthquake. Her body was recovered last weekend and flown home to her family earlier this week. A funeral Mass for Gengel was scheduled for today at St. John's Church in Worcester.

Tomorrow there will be an article, I guarantee it.

Makes you
wonder how many other things the Globe is concealing from the web reader, doesn't it?

36 DEAD AFTER MINARET COLLAPSES IN MOROCCO -- The structure fell during prayers yesterday at a mosque in the old town of the historic city of Meknes, injuring 71. Officlas said heavy rain had weakened the minaret, which was built four centuries ago under Sultan Moulay Ismail, who made Meknes his capital.

Yeah, dead Muslims are not important. The Zionist newspapers of AmeriKa have made their position quite clear on that.

And they would want us to even have an inkling of a
great Muslim liberator and hero.

Then there is the weather aspect. I didn't know Africa was getting doused -- and wouldn't have if I hadn't been a sucker and purchased a copy of the paper today.

Instead, next to the photograph are these items that did make it:

All rescued from Canadian ship sinking off Brazil

Ah, blame it on
Rio, right?

"Rain in Spain leaves bulls skinny, achy" by Associated Press | February 20, 2010

MADRID - .... A miserably wet winter.

The rain in Spain is usually good news, but it’s been coming down hard pretty much every day for two months in Andalusia and Extremadura, the southern regions....

FIRST I HAVE SEEN of it!!!

the chilly, inclement weather....

Looking ahead to the full-blown spring and summer, no one is worried because the sun will eventually emerge and dry everything out.

So sure about that, are you, MSM?

It never really did here last summer.

But....

--more--"

On to the second half of the title.

Today is seeding day for the regional high school basketball tournament.

"Law enforcers to run hoop tournament

Prosecutors and police are teaming up to shoot hoops with school children in a Basketball for Peace tournament. Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said the event is a way to teach children teamwork and sportsmanship.

Yeah, that is the state of sportsmanship in indoctrinated, inculcated, and brainwashed AmeriKa.

He said it also allows young people to have social interaction with law enforcement personnel.

When they are getting a beat down or tasering.

Former Boston Celtics guard Dana Barros will be on hand to talk to the children (AP)."

Oh, well....

Nope, not the tournaments I was talking about.
