European Vacation: Dutch Treat

Not making me feel very special.

"Report alleges security risk at Dutch airport" by New York Times | March 10, 2010

PARIS - Dutch airport officials announced new security measures yesterday after a Dutch investigative journalist reported smuggling a refilled liquor bottle through security checks at the airport.

Security was heightened after a Nigerian boarded a flight for the United States at the airport with explosives in his underwear.

Now that the Christmas Day bombing has become accepted lore I guess you can be vague, 'eh, MSM?

The journalist, Alberto Stegeman, said in a report televised Sunday that he had purchased a bottle of rum from a duty-free shop at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam on Feb. 16, emptied it, and refilled it with water before returning it to the store.

Yeah, that is where the underwear bomber came from.

Then he returned to the shop and bought the refilled bottle, which the shop sealed in a bag with a receipt, allowing him to take it through security checks and onto a plane that landed in London, where he transferred to a flight to Washington.

“This was a real big security gap, and the system failed,’’ Stegeman said in a telephone interview yesterday.

The ploy worked even though Stegeman was subjected to additional checks after he was recognized by airport security; he had breached their measures twice in 2008, first posing as a worker for three months and then passing through security unchecked, and later using a worker’s pass to get to the hangar housing the royal family’s plane.

“When they recognized me, they . . . asked a chief to come and look at me,’’ he said.

“Still, they didn’t look inside the bag. They looked at the bag, checked the flight number, but that was it.’’

Dutch officials said yesterday that they added extra security to check duty-free shops and halted sales of liquids from some stores.

And cui bono, readers?

This is starting to smell like a set-up.

In a statement, airport authorities said “100 percent safety can never be guaranteed - at Schiphol or any other airport.’’

Really?

THE HAGUE — The Dutch prime minister yesterday denounced as “irresponsible’’ an assertion by a retired US general that gay Dutch soldiers were partly to blame for allowing Europe’s worst massacre since World War II.

Really, who cares anymore?

If they want to go die for global government thinking it is some sort of equality, let them. That's one less American kid that will be needed.

Dutch officials, from the Cabinet to the military, were outraged by retired General John Sheehan’s remarks at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing in Washington on Thursday.

Sheehan said that Dutch military leaders had called the presence of gay soldiers in the army “part of the problem’’ that allowed Serb forces to overrun the Srebrenica enclave in Bosnia in July 1995 and kill about 8,000 Muslim men.

I'm beginning to wonder if that is what really happened.

"In March 2002, Milosevic presented the Hague tribunal with FBI documents proving that the United States government and NATO provided financial and military support for Al-Qaeda to aid the Kosovo Liberation Army in its war against Serbia.... Evidence linking him to genocides like Srebrenica, in which 7,000 Muslims died, was continually proven to be fraudulent. In fact, Srebrenica was supposedly a 'UN safe zone', yet just like Rwanda, UN peacekeepers deliberately withdrew and allowed the massacre to unfold, then blamed Milosevic."

Nothing is EVER AS IT SEEMS in the
lying, agenda-pushing AmeriKan press, folks!

Srebrenica, a small town in Yugoslavia

What do you mean Bill Clinton used Al Qaeda in Bosnia?

Yes, once again we have an AGENDA BEING PUSHED even in the PAST!

Dutch troops were serving in the undermanned UN peacekeeping force in Srebrenica when they were overrun by heavily armed Serb forces, who turned the surrounding countryside into killing fields littered with mass graves....

That's the conventional MSM myth passing itself off as news.

Sheehan, a former NATO commander who retired from the military 1997, was speaking in opposition to a proposal to allow gays to serve openly in the US military....

General Henk van den Breemen, Dutch chief of staff at the time of the Srebrenica genocide, called Sheehan’s comments “total nonsense’’ and denied ever having suggested gays in the army might have played a role in the Srebrenica massacre.

The Netherlands has a long history of accepting homosexuality, and gays have long been welcome in its armed forces.

And so should you, AmeriKa!

I mean, Israel let's 'em in!

Need to get out of the Netherlands fast!

Actually, this MS-sponsored trip has really sucked.
