Massachusetts Dessert

Sorry I didn't return after lunch, readers.

I guess my thin but fat American ass ate too much.

But don't worry; lying, looting government will protect thee.

"Support grows for limiting junk food in Mass. schools" by James Vaznis, Globe Staff | March 11, 2010

A bill that would ban the sale of sugary drinks and junk food in school vending machines and school stores is gaining momentum in the Legislature, as Massachusetts combats a troubling rise in childhood obesity rates.

Wouldn't be a problem for me except....

"Researchers calculated the body mass index - a standard measurement of size.... There is growing debate about the accuracy of the standard method of calculating whether someone is overweight.... the system would put nearly half of NBA players in the overweight category"

Yeah, that explains all the stick kids I see.

It's not that I want kids sipping sugar swill and stuffing their faces with junk food; however, I no longer trust an agenda-pushing mouthpiece MSM and a lying government.

Oh, right, the lying is for your own good, Americans.

The House passed it in January, after nearly a decade of debate on similar bills that went nowhere. Now, Senate President Therese Murray has thrown her support behind the effort and is optimistic that members will embrace it in a scheduled Senate vote today.

“We haven’t heard anything negative from members,’’ Murray said in an interview. “Obviously, everyone is very alarmed about the high level of diabetes and obesity rates. It’s a crisis.’’

The bill is one of two the Senate will debate today that aim to foster a healthier learning environment for students. The other legislation sets out to prevent bullying at school and on the Internet.

Legislators say they are motivated by a string of reports in recent years that have revealed the magnitude of the childhood obesity problem. In Massachusetts, 1 in 3 school children was overweight or obese in 2008, up from 1 in 4 two years earlier, according to a report by the Massachusetts Health Council, a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy group....

Is that possible?

And don't you mind that flawed measurement that cites the NBA as a bunch of lard asses.

Btw, ever see some of the flab slinking around the State House?

They will be tested, too, right, kids?

The legislation is the latest push by the state to combat childhood obesity, a top priority of Governor Deval Patrick.

It is ALL WAR ALL the TIME here in AmeriKa no matter what the issue or item -- at least, according to the divisive and deceptive MSM.

Public schools, complying with a new public health mandate, began measuring and weighing first-, fourth-, seventh-, and 10th-graders last fall so they can calculate their body mass index, a standard measurement used to analyze whether someone weighs too much or too little.....

Yes, a FLAWED MEASUREMENT, but.... sigh.

Yeah, the agenda-pushing liars of AmeriKa's MSM are keeping you informed.

In the past, the movement toward healthier vending options ran into opposition from school district leaders, who worried that vending-machine sales, which often generate revenue for districts, may plummet.

It ju$t make$ you laugh, doe$n't it?

Yeah, the $chool$ really care about the kid$, yup.

If they did they wouldn't -- literally -- be in shambles in this state and nation.

But districts that have made the switch say revenue has remained steady. Some of it, they say, is due to educating children at school and home about good nutrition....

Yeah, if you propagandize a kid enough he will believe anything in the face of facts.

Example A: the global warming myth.

Of course, like the DARE program, kids see through fraud and deceit pretty quick.
