John Kerry's Tugboat

Otherwise known as the Boston Globe!

Remember, readers, it was the Boston HERALD that SCOOPED the Globe -- and now the Globe is MAKING EXCUSES for the senator!

"Boat tax saga hurts Kerry; how much is hard to gauge" by Sarah Schweitzer and Marissa Lang, Globe Staff | Globe Correspondent | July 29, 2010

As political missteps go, Senator John F. Kerry’s yacht issues may ultimately be considered just a minor stumble. But in a state that has just elected a new US senator with the carefully crafted image of a pickup-driving, barn jacket-wearing common man, Kerry now seems likely to be perceived as ever more out of touch, political analysts said yesterday.

And with the recession feeding a fire of antiestablishment indignation, the appearance that Kerry may have tried to avoid paying Massachusetts taxes on a $7 million luxury yacht by docking it in Rhode Island could solidify a sense among voters that his life and concerns range far above their own....

The Globe just admitted the recession never ended and that they have been lying about it the whole time.

Analysts said the controversy over docking the boat in Rhode Island is not likely to hurt Kerry at the polls when he faces reelection four years from now, if it is even remembered then.

I'm sure SOME POLITICAL CONSULTANT will bring SOMEONE'S ATTENTION to it.

The fact that Kerry moved swiftly to pledge a $500,000 payment to Massachusetts this week helped dampen criticism. And while voters across the region expressed dismay over Kerry’s actions, many said their support for him had not changed....

That is one reason I find my fellow citizens such a disappointment -- if the claim is even true. Consider the agenda-pushing source, readers.

Yet, for some, the perceived tax-dodging attempt by a wealthy man reinforced a sense that he is unable to grasp the struggles of many Massachusetts residents....

I'm getting tired of the YETS, BUTS, STILLS, etc, 'kay?

This is NOT NEWS REPORTING it is AGENDA-PUSHING GARBAGE posing as "news."

Some analysts pointed out that the news media have played a large role in elevating the story to a place of national interest.

Like I said, PUSHING an AGENDA!

Yeah, Globe first reported this on page B15 and now I have had three straight days of FRONT-PAGE COVERAGE! Who is making that choice, huh, readers?

The story would not have gotten such attention if it had not hit in summer, when big stories are few and what news there is gets prominent play, they said.

Isn't that just a splendid excuse for covering s*** and doing nothing.

Right, there is no "big" news now, pffft!

I love the elitist and supremacist attitude from my "newspaper," don't you?

Other analysts asserted that news outlets cast the report as a problem for Kerry when, in fact, he was never accused of wrongdoing....

Haven't you been reading your own article?

It is about IMAGE not LEGAL TECHNICALITIES!!

They JUST DON'T GET IT, do they. readers?

Some voters interviewed yesterday sympathized with Kerry....

The Globe was actually able to find one, huh?

Still....

Let me finish the thought for you, Globe: No amount of agenda-pushing spin is going to put a polish on that turd that sits in a senate office.
