DeLeo wants probation hires under Civil Service
House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo said yesterday he will file legislation to make hiring and firing at the state Probation Department subject to civil service rules, in an attempt to begin repairing an agency badly damaged by a patronage scandal.

Now it will be impossible to fire any of them.

MCAS tied to college success for Hub grads
The state’s high academic standards and rigorous MCAS exams appear to have given Boston high school grads a dramatic boost toward earning college degrees, but too many are still dropping out, according to a study being released today.

I no longer believe a word regarding plane crashes in the paper. 
Yeah, poor, billions in profits BoA -- and Countrywide is to blame for the mortgage mess by loaning to people who couldn't afford it (yeah, sure, agenda-pushing banker's media) while cutting sweetheart deals for senators like Conrad and Dodd (never merits a mention).
