Good News For Gaza

I would just like to thank the Egyptian people from the bottom of my heart.

"Egypt to reopen Gaza border crossing; Israel fears move will allow Hamas to smuggle arms" May 26, 2011|By Ernesto Londono and Joel Greenberg, Washington Post

CAIRO — Egypt will permanently open its border crossing with the Gaza Strip this weekend, the government announced yesterday, suggesting that military leaders are being swayed by growing sentiment here in favor of distancing the country from Israel....

Yup, Mubarak was the Zionist's man!

"Israel, US urge Egypt to monitor Gaza gate" Associated Press / May 27, 2011

JERUSALEM — Israeli and American officials said yesterday they were pressing Egypt to ensure that the opening of its border with Gaza does not enable the Hamas militant group to move weapons and militants into the Palestinian territory.

Sorry, won't be falling for a false flag this time (cui bono).

The diplomatic efforts were underway after Egypt announced it was permanently opening its Rafah border crossing with Gaza....

Israel and Egypt have maintained a blockade of Gaza since Hamas violently seized power four years ago.

I notice is not a SIEGE like what Syria is allegedly doing!

"Hamas overwhelmingly won Palestinian Parliament elections in 2006....  Hamas won Palestinian parliamentary elections in early 2006....  In 2006, Hamas won Palestinian legislative elections.... Hamas won the last parliamentary elections in 2006....  Hamas won parliamentary elections in 2006.... Hamas won a majority in 2006 elections""

That's a VIOLENT SEIZURE, huh?

Thanks again for the REPEATED OMISSIONS and LIES, AmeriKan media.

Thus they are NOT TO BE BELIEVED on any matter -- especially ALL THINGS ISRAEL!!!

Btw, Hamas foiled a COUP ATTEMPT!!!!   I noticed they left that out, too.

When do the lies stop?

But since President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt was toppled in February, the country’s caretaker government has distanced itself from Israel and moved closer to the Palestinians.

The whole world is doing that.

Israeli defense officials said that since the upheaval of Mubarak’s ouster, Egypt has all but halted its efforts to stop weapons smuggling through tunnels along the Gaza border....

No one believes Israel and their lies anymore.

Israel has long insisted on careful monitoring of people and goods entering Gaza for security reasons.

"Gazans reenter Egypt with new hopes; Border reopens after four years" by David D. Kirkpatrick, New York Times / May 29, 2011

RAFAH BORDER CROSSING, Egypt — For years the Rafah border crossing has been a kind of geographic emblem of Egypt’s complicated relationship with Israel.

As if the people there did not matter.

Under President Hosni Mubarak, Egypt’s determination to secure the border came to represent to the Arab world Egypt’s decision to put its partnership with Israel and the United States ahead of solidarity with its fellow Muslims languishing in squalor in Gaza.

For Israel, Rafah was a reminder of the superficial quality of its partnership with Mubarak, because while his security forces closed the surface crossing, Hamas and its Egyptian sympathizers continued to carry in weapons and goods through a not-so- secret network of tunnels underneath.

Why is my paper always concerned about Israel?

Declassified: Massive Israeli manipulation of US media exposed

Oh.

Less acknowledged was the Rafah border’s function as a kind of safety valve, helping to relieve enough of the humanitarian needs within Gaza to avoid a crisis that might shock the world.

That is what obfuscating and omitting newspapers are for.

But the opening yesterday was a reminder of how things are changing between Egypt and Israel after Mubarak’s ouster. Both Israel’s government and the military council that rules Egypt are quite aware that the vast majority of Egyptians loathe their country’s support of Israel and are demanding a greater voice in foreign policy....

Once again, I THANK the GREAT EGYPTIAN PEOPLE!
