"Air war in ISIS fight gets guidance from Cape" by Bryan Bender | Globe Staff   September 26, 2014

WASHINGTON — The escalating air war ordered by President Obama in Iraq and Syria has increased the flow of surveillance data and images sent back to the United States for analysis — prompting Air National Guard teams, working in a darkened operations center on Cape Cod, to work around the clock to help interpret the images of war.

“Whatever they are looking at, we help them find, whether a house or a village,” Colonel James LeFavor , commander of the 102d Intelligence Wing, said in an interview about the unit’s work supporting US and coalition forces in the Middle East.

“We take raw intelligence that is gathered from different sources — manned or unmanned aircraft — and immediately send back our analysis,” the Mashpee resident said.

The 102d Intelligence Wing has recently been supporting US air operations in Afghanistan, where it has some 50 communication specialists completing a six-month deployment. But senior officials do not anticipate that sizable numbers of Massachusetts Guard troops will be deployed overseas in response to the new air campaign over Syria and Iraq. Instead, they make their contribution from Joint Base Cape Cod.

Related: National Guard Told to Stand Down on 9/11

I gue$$ they "found" some money.

The facility, which includes Camp Edwards, is home to four active-duty and National Guard commands that provide training for other units from around the country, and conduct airborne search and rescue, and intelligence operations. The facility also hosts a Coast Guard air station.

The 102d Intelligence Wing, one of the few such units in the part-time National Guard, is already in high demand at home. With some 1,300 personnel — one-third of them full time — its largest mission is performed by the Intelligence Operations Group, consisting of about 400 personnel analyzing the video and other data streaming in daily from dozens of surveillance aircraft flying across the Middle East.

The intelligence analysts, who have been conducting the mission since 2008, are linked a classified global information network that shares surveillance data from a variety of aircraft, including the U-2, a Cold War-era reconnaissance plane, as well the Predator, Reaper, and long-endurance Global Hawk spy drones, according to Colonel David V. McNulty, who oversees the intelligence analysis.

The work is conducted for air, ground, and naval forces operating across the Middle East, he said.

The specific geographic areas, he added, changes “day to day” because of the dynamic nature of the mission.

This is the type of military mission that has expanded dramatically in recent years with the growing reliance of the US military and intelligence agencies on spy drones.

Another Obummer legacy.

Two of the most widely used drones — including some that are armed with missiles — are the Predator and a more advanced model, the Reaper.

In recent days drones have reportedly been flown over the northern Syrian city of Raqqa, where the Islamic State’s leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, has been reported to be living in recent months.

Him again. Sigh.

“One of the major requirements of operating aircraft that are shooting live-motion video, 30 frames per second, is you have to have people who can look at that video and analyze it,” said Richard Whittle, a global fellow at the Wilson Center in Washington, D.C., and author of “Predator: The Secret Origins of the Drone Revolution.’’

A Pentagon-funded study in 2012 reported that for every Predator or Reaper “combat air patrol” there was a need for more than 80 personnel to conduct “processing, exploitation, and dissemination” of the information they provide.

Not very cost effective for something supposed to be cost effective.

“Now hundreds of people are needed to analyze the video every day from the dozens of drones that are flying,” said Whittle, including some aircraft outfitted with highly advanced sensors that can monitor an entire village around the clock and store every image.

Between that and the NSA collections efforts they can't possibly look through everything.

The Pentagon had anticipated that it would be able to cut back on its drone fleet after US troops withdrew from Iraq in 2011, and with the war in Afghanistan winding down this year.

That drew a scornful laugh from me.

But in light of the new conflict that reduction is now under review, a top Pentagon official, Michael Vickers, said last week.

Who, exactly, is Michael Vickers

RelatedU.S. Adapts Cold-War Idea to Fight Terrorists

The "government has mounted a secret campaign to plant bogus e-mail messages and Web site postings" OVER SIX YEARS AGO?

Did you get all that?

US Representative William Keating, a Bourne Democrat whose district includes the Cape Cod base, said he anticipates the intelligence unit’s mission will only grow.

“None of them are on the ground, and none of them are in the theater of operations, but they are contributing from here, conducting essential frontline functions,” he said.

"Attacks hit refineries, cut flow of revenue to ISIS" by Rebecca Collard and Craig Whitlock | Washington Post   September 26, 2014

BEIRUT — US military officials said Thursday that US and allied airstrikes had crippled most of the small oil refineries controlled by Islamic State in Syria, and the remainder would be targeted in coming days.

‘‘The point was to render them incapable of using these refineries, which was a significant stream of revenue for them,’’ Rear Admiral John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, told reporters Thursday.

Who is buying it?

The attacks by the US military and two Arab partners were part of a broadening assault on Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. Britain was expected to join the coalition with a parliamentary vote on Friday approving airstrikes in Iraq.

But despite the stepped-up effort, the radical Islamist fighters are threatening to expand their grip on Syria by trying to take a key town on the Turkish border. Kurdish Syrian leaders appealed Thursday for US warplanes to help them by hitting Islamic State units near the town of Kobane, known as Ayn al-Arab in Arabic.

Excuse me, I need to go get some waders 'cause this shit stream is thick.

The Obama administration is seeking to assemble an international coalition to destroy Islamic State, an Al Qaeda offshoot also known as ISIS or ISIL.

Gee, I sure wished they hadn't wasted all that money and time training them then.

The group has seized control of a large swath of land crossing the Syrian-Iraqi border and is seeking to impose a caliphate, or nation ruled by a strict version of Islamic law.

That's the lying, agenda-pushing, war-promoting narrative I'm getting from the propaganda pre$$.

Kirby said Islamic State produced about 300 to 500 barrels a day from each of the small refineries in Syria, providing the jihadists with revenue as well as refined fuel for their vehicles.

He told reporters in Washington that US military officials were still conducting damage assessments from the attacks a day earlier, but were confident that the dozen facilities that were targeted had been disabled. The warplanes tried to partially damage the refineries with precision-guided munitions instead of destroying them, he added. Some of the infrastructure was left intact in the hope that a future Syrian government — controlled by moderate forces instead of President Bashar Assad or Islamic State — might be able to restart the refineries, he said.

Or the "TERRORIST" CONTINUE HAVING ACCESS to OIL!

OMG, this is SUCH GARBAGE!

It is AS I SAID YESTERDAY, all about OVERTHROWING ASSAD!

While the attacks marked an expansion of the new offensive in Syria, Islamic State makes most of its money from crude oil, not refined. So the latest airstrikes will not be enough to shut down the flow of the group’s oil, analysts said.

Then how are they using it to power vehic.... never f***ing mind!!!!!!!!!!

‘‘The air strikes on the oil refineries were tactically spectacular, but strategically insignificant,’’ said Chris Harmer, a senior analyst with the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War who previously served with the US military in Iraq and Bahrain.

So Obummer blew up a bunch of stuff that didn't mean anything as he issues a call to arms, blah, blah, f***ing blah!

Btw, anybody ever STUDY PEACE down there?

‘‘ISIS controls the oil fields. Destroying small oil refineries will just shift production from small refineries controlled by ISIS to microrefineries located in residential neighborhoods,’’ he said.

The Pentagon emphasized that the operation was led by fighter jets from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, with US warplanes dropping fewer than half of the bombs. The Obama administration has sought to highlight the participation of Arab militaries in the airstrikes, in part to deflect the charge that the United States is waging a war on Muslims.

Which it is, but at least the charges got deflected. I don't even know why I'm bothering with this anymore.

In northern Syria, Kurdish fighters said Islamic State forces were battling to advance on Kobane. The Kurdish town’s fall would give the militants control over an important stretch of the Syrian-Turkish frontier. More than 130,000 people have fled during about 10 days of clashes in the border area.

Syrian opposition activists reported airstrikes in the area on Wednesday, but the US military has not confirmed any activity there.

‘‘The strikes have shown no effect on the ground and resistance is very difficult,’’ said Abdul Azzizi, a Kurdish activist from Kobane who has moved to near the Turkish border.

Kurdish Syrian leaders pleaded again Thursday for American assistance.

‘‘[The] bases of ISIL and all their heavy weapons, vehicles and equipment are in the open air, visible to everyone, but yet they haven’t been targeted by the airstrikes,’’ said a statement from Redur Xelil, spokesman for the People’s Protection Units, one of the Kurdish groups.

It is AS the BLOGGERS HAVE SAID! The U.S. and its allies ARE NOT and WILL NOT DESTROY their useful creation that justifies war everywhere!

France, which last week launched its first airstrikes in northern Iraq, followed up Thursday with more attacks, French media reported. The airstrikes came a day after a French citizen, Herve Gourdel, was beheaded by an Algerian Islamist group claiming revenge for French military action against Islamic State.

Those fake video stories are rolling away faster than a severed head.

"Iraqi woman activist killed by Islamic State" by Vivian Salama | Associated Press   September 26, 2014

BAGHDAD — Militants with the Islamic State group tortured and then publicly killed a human rights lawyer in the Iraqi city of Mosul after their self-proclaimed religious court ruled that she had abandoned Islam, the UN mission in Iraq said Thursday.

So did the USraeli mercenaries and white-skinned, black-clad "terrorists" in all the staged and scripted videos the war press is pumping.

You know the propaganda is failing miserably when they trot the women. Never mind those dying under Obummer's missile assaults.

Gunmen with the group’s newly declared police force seized Samira Salih al-Nuaimi last week in a northeastern district of the Mosul while she was home with her husband and three children, two people with direct knowledge of the incident said Thursday. Nuaimi was taken to a secret location.

Like what the CIA would do.

After about five days, the family was called by the morgue to retrieve her corpse, which bore signs of torture, the two people said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of fears for their safety.

According to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq, her arrest was allegedly connected to Facebook messages she posted that were critical of the militants’ destruction of religious sites in Mosul.

PFFFFFT!

A UN statement Thursday added that Nuaimi was tried in a so-called ‘‘Sharia court’’ for apostasy, after which she was tortured for five days before the militants sentenced her to ‘‘public execution.’’ Her Facebook page appears to have been removed since her death.

This is classic hoax propaganda!

‘‘By torturing and executing a female human rights’ lawyer and activist, defending in particular the civil and human rights of her fellow citizens in Mosul, ISIL continues to attest to its infamous nature, combining hatred, nihilism, and savagery, as well as its total disregard of human decency,’’ Nickolay Mladenov, the UN envoy to Iraq, said in a statement, referring to the group by an acronym. The statement did not say how she was killed.

Who is ENABLING them?

Among Muslim hard-liners, apostasy is thought to be not just conversion from Islam to another faith, but also committing actions that they think are so against the faith that one is considered to have left Islam.

Mosul is the largest city held by the Islamic State group in the self-declared ‘‘caliphate’’ it has carved out, bridging northern and eastern Syria with northern Iraq. Since overrunning the once-diverse city in June, the group has forced religious minorities to convert to Islam, pay special taxes, or die, causing tens of thousands to flee. The militants have enforced a strict dress code on women, going so far as to veil the faces of female mannequins in store fronts.

Again, this is BECOMING LAUGHABLE were it not so tragic.

Hanaa Edwer, a prominent Iraqi human rights activist, said at least five female political activists have been killed in recent weeks by the Islamic State group in Mosul, including Nuaimi, who Edwer said was also running for a seat on the provincial council.

‘‘But it is not just women being targeted,’’ Edwer said. ‘‘They will kill anyone with a voice. It is terrifying.’’

Really a way to win people over, huh?

The Gulf Center for Human Rights said Wednesday that Nuaimi had worked on detainee rights and poverty. The Bahrain-based rights organization said her death ‘‘is solely motivated by her peaceful and legitimate human rights work . . . in Mosul.’’

In other developments Thursday, Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen of Germany visited northern Iraq for talks with Kurdish leaders about the fight against Islamic State extremists and Berlin’s efforts to help with arms deliveries.

"West’s blunders fueled jihadists, Iran tells UN" by Somini Sengupta | New York Times   September 26, 2014

UNITED NATIONS — President Hassan Rouhani of Iran delivered a searing indictment of Western and Arab states on Thursday in his annual speech to the United Nations, blaming them for sowing the seeds of extremism in the Middle East with “strategic blunders” giving rise to the Islamic State and other violent jihadist groups.

“Certain intelligence agencies have put blades in the hand of madmen, who now spare no one,” Rouhani said, adding that “all those who have played a role in founding and supporting these terror groups must acknowledge their errors.”

See? The WORLD KNOWS! What a prick, huh?

He also used the occasion to denounce the Western-led sanctions imposed on Iran’s nuclear program, and reiterated his government’s desire to resolve its protracted dispute with the United States and other nations over its nuclear program.

He implied that the nuclear negotiations were linked to Iran’s cooperation in combating the Islamic State and its affiliates, saying that no security cooperation was possible until the sanctions were lifted.

Rouhani’s speech to the General Assembly, his second as Iran’s president, began by striking some of the same notes that his counterparts from the United States and Europe struck Wednesday regarding the rise of the Islamic State, the militant group that now controls parts of Syria and Iraq. President Obama, in his speech Wednesday, called on all nations to unite in a concerted effort to destroy the group.

Rouhani denied that Iran sought to control other nations in the region, calling that belief “delusional Iranophobia,” and reminded the world that Iran was among the first countries to assist Iraq in June, when Islamic State fighters invaded from neighboring Syria. He said the extremist group and its affiliates, which have drawn recruits from around the world, do not represent the true teachings of Islam.

Another prick:

"Iraqi leader says militants eyeing transit attacks" by Michael R. Gordon | New York Times   September 26, 2014

He, along with Judith Miller, pushed all those WMD lies about Iraq.

NEW YORK — Iraq’s prime minister said Thursday that his government had gathered intelligence from captured militants indicating that the Islamic State was planning to attack targets in Europe and the United States, including subways.

Oh, no. More booga-booga-BOO!

Hey, simple solution: STAY OUT OF CITIES and SUBWAYS and DON'T GO SHOPPING at the MALL whatever you do!

US intelligence officials expressed some skepticism about the assertion, pointing out that it was inconsistent with other information they had gathered about the Islamic State. But they were looking into it nonetheless.

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

And how come I have not seen the word KHORASAN yet?

The prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, said that the plotting was being carried out by foreign fighters who had joined the Islamic State’s offensive in Iraq.

He said that he had been informed of the information Thursday morning and that Iraq was sharing it with the United States.

“From the details I have received, yes, it looks credible,” Abadi told a group of reporters in New York, where the prime minister and his aides were attending the UN General Assembly meeting.

Incredible!

“Today, while I am here, I am receiving accurate reports from Baghdad,” said Abadi, adding that they came following the “arrest of a few elements.”

“There are networks planning from inside Iraq to have attacks,” he said. “They plan to have attacks on the metros of Paris and the US.”

Is it imminent?

Caitlin Hayden, spokeswoman for the White House’s National Security Council, said in a statement that it was aware of Abadi’s reported comments.

“We have not confirmed such a plot, and would have to review any information from our Iraqi partners before making further determinations,” she said. “We take any threat seriously and always work to corroborate information we receive from our partners.”

Blah blah.

Referring to President Obama’s warnings Wednesday at a special session about foreign fighters of the UN Security Council, Hayden said: “We’re obviously very focused on the issue of foreign fighters.”

Creating and training as many as you can, huh?

FBI officials also reacted to Abadi’s remarks. George Venizelos, the FBI’s assistant director in charge, said in a statement that its agents “are in contact with our law enforcement and intelligence community partners as we assess the validity of this threat.”

PFFFFFFFFT!

I just did!

Apparently referring to the New York subway system, the country’s largest, Venizelos said, “The FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, along with the New York City Police Department, remain committed to protecting this city.”

Have the drivers and their union grievances been taken care of?

A senior administration official said that nobody in the administration had been aware of such a plot and that it was not raised when US and Iraqi officials met at the United Nations earlier this week.

HA-HA-HA!

Oh, man.

About 1,000 would-be militants from Asia have moved to Iraq and Syria seeking to join Islamic State, said Admiral Samuel Locklear, commander of US Pacific Command, who spoke at a Bloomberg lunch in Washington Thursday.

It is not clear whether those migrants are now fighting as part of Islamic State or simply have aspirations to do so, Locklear said. Although he said he doesn’t know how Asians are traveling to the Middle East, ‘‘it’s a lot easier to move globally than people think it is.’’

Then all the spying and surveillance and the "Five Eyes" and all that crap worthless, huh?

The United States this week bombed targets including the extremist Khorasan Group that the United States believed was plotting an ‘‘imminent’’ attack on the country.

Aaaaaah, there they are!

The government hasn’t detailed what plot it believes was being planned or shared intelligence about how it knows.

Just believe the lying shit-bags.

New York City-area transit began increasing security in partnership with New Jersey in the past few weeks, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Thursday in an e-mailed statement.

‘‘We are aware of the report and are treating it with the utmost precaution,’’ Cuomo said. ‘‘Our administration has been coordinating at a high level with local, state, and federal partners. I want to assure the people of New York that we are monitoring these reports closely and are in close communication with officials in Washington.’’

I'm SO SCARED!!!

Mass transit has been a popular target for attacks.

They are TELEGRAPHING and WARNING of the COMING FALSE FLAG, folks!!

In 1995, terrorists in Japan released sarin gas in the Tokyo subway system, killing 13 people and injuring dozens. In 2005, suicide bombers targeted the London subway and one of the city’s iconic double-decker buses, killing 52 civilians and injuring about 700.

How Did Mossad Know the London Bombings Were Going to Happen?

Because it was a pre-planned "drill" that "went live" like in Boston?

A naturalized US citizen who had attended an Al Qaeda training camp was convicted in 2012 of planning a thwarted suicide bombing attack on the New York City subway system.

Would that be the Zazi the FBI followed for two years and watched drive across country and let into the city after being stopped at a checkpoint?

All these cited incidents are FALSE FLAGS and FRAUDS, folks! All CREATIONS and OPERATIONS of INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES!

Abadi also said that he had conveyed a message to President Bashar Assad of Syria before the US-led air attacks there that the scope of the bombing would be limited to Islamic State targets and would not extend to targets connected to Assad’s government.

Already have with the oil refinery strikes, and I'm sure a few "oopsies" will occur in the years to come.

“As a neighbor, I don’t want to be party to the disintegration of Syria or to have diminished sovereignty of Syria,” Abadi said. “So I find it fit to send my adviser to inform the Syria regime this is our vision, this is our aim, they should not misunderstand it.”

That's going to be hard when the entity that put you in place -- the U.S. -- is doing just that.

Abadi said the Obama administration had informed the Iraqi government that the goal of the airstrikes was not to destabilize the Assad government, and that Iraqi had passed this message to the Syrian government as well.

They lied to him!

“We have been given that message by the Americans,” al-Abadi said, “although we just relay a message without any comment.”

A true puppet with AmeriKan arm buried deep us his ass.

The Obama administration has said it has notified Assad’s government of its intention to bomb Islamic militant targets in northern Syria but has said nothing about having offered other assurances to Assad.

A senior administration official would not comment directly on Abadi’s comments regarding Assad. But he said the purpose of the US message to the Assad government was to dissuade it from taking military action to interfere with the bombing.

I think he's got it.

"FBI says about 12 Americans joined extremists’ force in Syria" by Ken Dilanian and Eileen Sullivan | Associated Press   September 26, 2014

WASHINGTON — The number of Americans the government believes is fighting alongside extremist groups in Syria is almost one-tenth the number cited by government officials and lawmakers for months.

OH, NO, we were told MORE LIES!

There are about 12 Americans believed to be fighting in Syria right now, FBI Director James Comey said Thursday. There are more than 100 Americans who have either tried to go to Syria and were arrested, or went and came back to the United States, Comey said without offering more details.

The 100 figure, however, had taken on urban legend status in recent months as the Obama administration made its case for military action in Iraq and Syria. It is unclear what significance the discrepancy has as far as Americans’ support for the US military action, which so far has been strong.

That's what the propaganda pre$$ is telling us about the American people, and why would we believe more of their lies?

I mean, LOOK, they are EVEN ADMITTING THEY ARE LYING about the "threat."

We WENT TO WAR on an URBAN LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!

‘‘When I use a number of more than 100, that means people who have gone and come back, people who have attempted to go and we locked them up, people who have gone and stayed,’’ Comey said during an interview with reporters at FBI’s headquarters. ‘‘The figure that I’ve been operating with is, ballparkish, a dozen still there fighting with terrorist groups.’’

Look at the DISASSEMBLING from that SCUM!!!!!!!!!!

Those caveats have been absent from other accounts by the Obama administration and members of Congress from both political parties.

Yup, no messy partisanship when it comes to the lies pushing us to war!

‘‘Thousands of foreign fighters have flocked to Syria over the past three years. This includes more than 2,000 Europeans and more than a hundred Americans,’’ the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Matthew Olsen, said last week.

Oh, now it is THOUSANDS!!!!!!

The head of the House Homeland Security Committee, Representative Michael McCaul, a Republican from Texas, described it this way: ‘‘Coupled with 30,000 of these ISIS fighters, 15,000 are foreign fighters, over 100 American US citizens. Many of these fighters have Western passports.’’

Then the government knows who they are, right? I'm sure they are on the no-fly list we can never see.

The senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, James Inhofe, an Oklahoma Republican, told Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel during a hearing, ‘‘It’s estimated that at least 2,000 fighters hold Western passports and at least 100 are US citizens.’’ Hagel never corrected him or clarified the 100 figure.

Yet, let the like sit there, Chuck. Asshole.

US intelligence officials estimate there are about 15,000 foreign fighters in Iraq and Syria fighting with extremist groups, including the Islamic State group.

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Like we are EVER GOING TO BELIEVE THOSE ANYMORE!!!!!!!

Officials have long been concerned that Americans are joining the fight. At least two Americans have been killed in the fighting and at least 13 have been arrested.

All I can say to that is THIS.

While Olsen and others did not specifically say 100 Americans are currently fighting with extremists in Syria, it has been interpreted that way.

So where did the CIA train them?

‘‘This figure includes well over 1,000 European citizens, and more than 100 Americans,’’ Representative William Keating, a Massachusetts Democrat, said last week. Keating said he was citing figures provided by the National Counterterrorism Center.

Just repeat the lie, Bill.

National Counterterrorism Center spokesman Joe Vealencis said the ‘‘more than 100’’ figure refers to the total number of Americans who have tried to go to Syria to fight, or have gone and come back.

Look at the semantics.

Hey, figures lie and liars figure.

On Sept. 10, the deputy director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Nicholas Rasmussen, offered a little more detail about these 100 Americans but did not say how many were believed to be currently fighting in Syria.

‘‘We are aware that a number of persons, more than 100, have either made their way or tried to make their way to Syria over the past few years to join the international foreign fighters,’’ Rasmussen said.

But?

"British police arrest 9 in anti terror sweep" by Alan Cowell | New York Times   September 26, 2014

NEW YORK — A day after Prime Minister David Cameron pledged British support for the US-led air campaign in Iraq, counterterrorism police in Britain rounded up nine men suspected of having links to a banned Islamist group and searched 18 buildings across the capital and in the English Midlands.

The men were not identified, but news reports citing unidentified sources said they included Anjem Choudhury, an Islamic preacher and organizer who has frequently voiced radical views and was associated with the Muhajiroun group before it was outlawed in 2010.

Scotland Yard said the men, ages 22 to 51, were arrested on suspicion of being members of, or supporting, a banned organization, said in news reports to be Al Muhajiroun.

Before it was banned, the group was led by a Syrian-born Islamist cleric, Omar Bakri Muhammad, who left Britain for Lebanon in 2005 and has been barred from returning. He was arrested in May in Lebanon, where he had expressed support for the Islamic State, the Sunni militant group that has taken over tracts of Iraq and Syria in its quest to establish an Islamic caliphate.

The British police said the arrests were “part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist-related terrorism and are not in response to any immediate public safety risk.”

Choudhury has frequently courted official disapproval in Britain, voicing support for radical Islamists such as Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born preacher who was killed by a US drone strike in Yemen in 2011.

OMG! He's an MI-6 agitator!

He has also organized protests against British military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan, seeking to disrupt ceremonies and parades marking the return of British soldiers, or their bodies, from those distant battlegrounds.

Thanks for discrediting the protest movement, sphincter.

The arrests came a day after Cameron told the United Nations in New York that he would recall Parliament on Friday to seek lawmakers’ approval for British participation in the campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq.

I hope they again tell him no like last year. Obummer not even taking that chance, and spineless Congre$$ willingly abdicates.

But he stopped short of saying that British warplanes based on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus would join attacks by the United States and several Arab nations on targets in Syria.

“We should be uncompromising, using all the means at our disposal — including military force — to hunt down these extremists,” Cameron said.

He told reporters that Islamic State militants represented a “clear and present danger to the United Kingdom.”

When does the terror drill go live, Dave?

The British leader said he was confident of winning support for the deployment from Parliament, which last year refused to authorize military action in Syria after chemical weapons were used in the civil war there.

"US man’s N. Korean prison life: Digging, isolation" Associated Press   September 26, 2014

PYONGYANG, North Korea — The Bakersfield, Calif., native showed several letters he had written pleading for help from influential Americans, including Michelle Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, and former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. 24-year-old Matthew Miller then enclosed them in a letter he mailed to his family from the hotel.

As a spy he knew the risk.

At Miller’s 90-minute trial, North Korea’s Supreme Court said he tore up his tourist visa at Pyongyang’s airport upon arrival on April 10 and admitted to having the ‘‘wild ambition’’ of experiencing prison life so that he could secretly investigate North Korea’s human rights situation.

Smells like spy to me.

Last week, Robert King, the US special envoy for North Korean human rights issues, said Pyongyang has not accepted American offers to send a high-level envoy to seek release of the three US men. King said that freeing the detainees could provide a diplomatic opening in ties between the two countries, but that Washington would not give into attempts to ‘‘extort’’ political gain from the detentions.

King would not specify whom the Obama administration was willing to send. But Scott Snyder, senior fellow for Korea Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations think tank, said he was told by the administration that it has offered in recent weeks to send Glyn Davies, who leads US diplomacy on North Korea’s nuclear weapons program, and that Pyongyang had not responded favorably....

The Koreans, like everyone else on planet Earth, have had it with AmeriKan mucking around in their nation.
