"Boston Scientific reportedly in talks to buy device firm

After recently settling a long-running lawsuit with rival Johnson & Johnson over the 2004 buyout of Guidant Corp., Boston Scientific Corp. may be resuming its acquisition campaign. The news agency Reuters, citing unnamed sources, reported Wednesday that Boston Scientific is nearing a deal to purchase Endo International PLC’s AMS medical device business for up to $2 billion. Such a deal would be the largest in more than a decade for Boston Scientific. A company spokeswoman wouldn’t comment on the report. Endo, a global health care company based in Ireland, has been seeking to divest AMS, a Minnetonka, Minn., company it acquired in 2011 that markets devices to treat pelvic disorders."

First time I've seen anything about Ireland in a while.
