Thanks For the Memories

I know I said it would be another month; however, the ma$$ media reminded me this is the unofficial start of summer so....

What Memorial Day Do You Honor?

Whatever one mother told me, and it won't be the flag-waving myths of the ma$$ media.

2015 Memorial Day: Praying for Peace While Waging Permanent War?

Think of the children.

Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride honors veterans

Let's hope their isn't a (staged and scripted fake) shootout this time.

Charges brought in Southbridge death

Better dig another plot in the cemetery:

"Toyota vowed to help pinpoint the cause of a defect in air bags used in more than 50 million vehicles worldwide, saying the auto industry risks losing the trust of car buyers if the problem drags on unresolved. The air bags, made by Takata Corp. of Japan, can deploy with too much force, potentially causing injury or even death. ‘‘Recalls are not just about technical problems. If there is a morsel of consumer doubt, then we have to deal with it,’’ Toyota president Akio Toyoda told reporters at a reception Thursday for the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association. Takata this week agreed to a recall that doubled the number of air bags needing repair in the United States to 34 million; Toyota is one of 11 automakers recalling their vehicles."

Maybe you would be better off renting for the day. Just make sure you leave the tank full of gas.

No offense, but I'm tired of the war worship (and the whining victimhood of a certain ethnic group).

Hundreds gather to decry desecration of Holocaust memorial

Sure is smelling like another false flag hoax, and it didn't really cost much at all.

Lot of that going around, too:

"A Northampton man has pleaded not guilty to trying to kill his sick 7-year-old daughter by poisoning her with drain cleaner. The Daily Hampshire Gazette reported that Christopher Conley, 32, was held without bail on Thursday on charges including attempted murder. The girl underwent a seven-hour surgery April 17 to remove two-thirds of her small intestine and part of her bladder. Surgeons said they suspected someone injected a corrosive fluid into her cecostomy tube. Authorities said Conley told investigators he used Liquid-Plumr and a prescription painkiller overdose because he wanted to end his seriously ill daughter’s pain. Court records do not give details of her illness."

He should have killed himself, too. Instead he finds a prostitute and a room before the police tracked him down.

Time to pimp some more war:

Sunken Civil War ship will be salvaged
Civil War music returns to New Hampshire
African history remembered in New Hampshire
Portsmouth park honors, preserves African burying ground

Except that the roots of that particular institution remain very much shrouded in mystery.

"Marques Haynes, Harlem Globetrotters great; at 89" by Bruce Weber New York Times  May 23, 2015

NEW YORK — Marques Haynes, whose dazzling ball-handling skills, exhibited for more than 40 years as a member of the Harlem Globetrotters and other barnstorming black basketball teams, earned him a place in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and an international reputation as the world’s greatest dribbler, died Friday in Plano, Texas. He was 89.

A spokesman for the Globetrotters, Brett Meister, confirmed the death. Mr. Haynes had lived in Plano.

Mr. Haynes was a stellar cog on the Globetrotter squads of the late 1940s and early ’50s, when the team was as competitive as any team, including those in the professional leagues that in 1949 merged to form the National Basketball Association.

The Globetrotters were basketball’s biggest attraction, not only in the United States but also around the world, where their signature mix of sport and showmanship made them ambassadors of American good will....

No mention of Abe Saperstein, the founder? Must be why there was never a stereotype concern.

Of course, I need to be lacing up some sneakers for tonight. Not too old yet, and there will be plenty of time for other things

What's important is the game, and more than that, team loyalty:

They will never ‘apologize for nothing,’ and what time does the war start?

“Rape is a brutal invasion of a person’s most private space . . . an infringement of a person’s right to be free from violence.”

That I agree with. Nothing wrong with grabbing a big tit to get off, though. There is a war on, haven't you heard?

Well, that's it, I guess. It occurred to me that you may want to check other websites for what is really happening out there (I haven't been lately, sorry), because I'm going to put on some sunglasses and make the blog les visible.  I'm not saying I won't be working on it in the next four months, but the daily ritual is going to stop.  Others have done it (I miss Morris and Kenny, God rest his soul), and it doesn't cost much to check out other sites. Sorry if I left any off the list.

Have a good summer, readers. I'll be back in September, although I caution you with this final thought: An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion.

With that in mind, for those just arriving here start with WTC 7 in your seeking of truth as I end this post thinking of the millions of victims of the Amerikan war machine.

In their honor, this blog will now go silent.
